Julie is a veteran of the interactive industry, with more than 10 years of experience in eCommerce, online marketing, and development of online communities. She is a former executive in new media and digital strategy at Johnson & Johnson, where she managed online marketing strategy for several major brands, and was executive producer for a leading baby boomer health community, www.StrengthforCaring.com. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, she was responsible for online marketing, SEM, email marketing, site operational merchandising, and retention/acquisition strategies for StubHub, acquired by eBay. She has extensive ad agency experience working at agencies such as Razorfish, and QuinStreet, and has worked on Web strategy and user acquisition and retention strategies for companies such as Apple, Visa USA, Sega, and CNN. Prior to her Web life, Julie was a Journalist. She holds an M.A. in Journalism from Northeastern University, and a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Julie is also a certified fitness trainer, and has taught Aerobics, Cardio Kickboxing, and group exercise classes as well as 1:1 instruction. Julie's Wellness lifestyle includes acupuncture, Pilates two to three times a week, hiking and other outdoor sports, Reiki, Chinese medicine, and massage therapy. She actively goes on wellness retreats and health programs. She has been a vegetarian since she was 12 years old, and a recent convert to eating fish for those Omega 3's!

Balaji Gopinath has over seventeen years of experience in general management, strategy, technology and operations with both private and public companies, including several start-ups. Balaji brings management experience to InnerRewards from such diverse fields as CPG/Retail, Media and Entertainment, Financial Services, Technology, and Manufacturing.
Balaji was formerly the VP of Product at DeliveryAgent.com. Previously, he helped launch the Open Media Network (OMN), a non-profit focused on delivering a broad selection of movies, public TV and radio, video blogs and podcasts to consumers. Before OMN, he was VP of Operations at Procurepoint and Kontiki, Inc., a software company focused on the next generation model of secure media delivery for consumers and media companies.
While at Internet pioneers Scient and Aslan Computing, Balaji held global positions as GM and SVP and led the construction of e-commerce businesses for Gap, Intuit, MLB.com, Asia Steel, Sephora, Realtor.com (now Homestore), Boots.com (UK), Hotwire.com, Living.com, and PlanetRx. Balaji was responsible for all facets of the businesses, including strategy, customer experience, end-to-end technology and operations. Mr. Gopinath was also involved in launching Scient's start-up incubator, and in developing products such as “eTail in a Box,” vertical ASP oriented frameworks and “any-to-any” solutions focusing on developing multi-channel and multi-device strategies for corporate and consumer-focused clients.
Balaji has also managed the West Coast Internet and Retail Strategy for NCR, and was part of the founding group behind Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP). He is a graduate of MIT.
Dr. Astro Teller is co-founder and CEO of Cerebellum Capital, a hedge fund management firm whose investments are continuously designed, executed, and improved by a software system based on techniques from statistical machine learning. Astro is also co-founder and Chairman of BodyMedia, Inc, a leading wearable body monitoring company. From 1999 to 2007, Dr. Teller was also Chief Executive Officer of BodyMedia, Inc. Prior to starting BodyMedia in 1999, Dr. Teller was co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Sandbox Advanced Development, an advanced development technology company. Before his tenure as a business executive, Dr. Teller taught at Stanford University and was an engineer and researcher for Phoenix Laser Technologies, Stanford's Center for Integrated Systems, and The Carnegie Group Incorporated. Dr. Teller holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Stanford University, Masters of Science in symbolic and heuristic computation, also from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence from Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a recipient of the prestigious Hertz fellowship.
As a respected scientist and seasoned entrepreneur, Teller has successfully created and grown five companies and holds numerous U.S. patents related to his work in hardware and software technology. Dr. Teller's work in science, literature, art, and business has appeared in international media from the New York Times to CNN to NPR's "All Things Considered." Teller regularly gives invited talks for national and international technology, government, and business forums on the subject of the future of intelligent technology.
Mr. Rodio has served as Executive Vice President, Operations since January 2008. Mr. Rodio previously served as our Chief Marketing Officer from September 2006 to January 2008. Mr. Rodio was Vice President of Product Management at SideStep, an online travel company, from June 2005 to August 2006. From April 2004 to March of 2005, Mr. Rodio was Vice President of Marketing at StubHub, a secondary ticketing company. From January 2001 to April 2004, Mr. Rodio served as Senior Director Brand and Communications of the MSN division of Microsoft. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rodio held marketing positions at Amazon.com and Procter & Gamble. Mr. Rodio holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon, a Master of Science from Portland State University and a Master of Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. Effective August 4, 2008, the Company changed the titles and responsibilities of Anthony Rodio, formerly our Executive Vice President, Operations, Consumer Solutions Group (CSG) will serve as our Chief Operating Officer, CSG.
