Whether it’s unbiased product recommendations, a make-up application for a special event, or a lesson to improve your own technique, we’ll treat you to unparalled service from a beauty-industry expert, a real artist whose work produces superior results.

The Setting

With a family history in make up artistry and fine art, I feel that I was destined for this career. I have been experimenting with make up since I was old enough to pry open my Mother’s make up drawer.” After completing a degree in Advertising at Boston University, Dana moved to New York City to pursue a career in the beauty industry. After working for Trish McEvoy, eventually as a national make up artist, she began a freelance career. Dana started Beauty Muse, a make up consulting company, offering services from make up applications to make up lessons and personal shopping. Soon she desired to learn more about skincare, so that she could truly help her clients achieve radiant beauty. After earning an esthetics license from Atelier Esthetique in New York City, she began to work as an esthetician as well. She is currently a highly sought after freelance make up artist – working with clients from fashion (Vera Wang, Cynthia Steffe, Foley and Corinna) to television (ESPN, Good Morning America, Lifetime, The Food Network, Entertainment Tonight) to print (ELLE, Sports Illustrated, BRIDES).

Before You Arrive

If you are coming to Beauty Muse for a make-up application or a trial run for wedding makeup, please bring a few of your favorite lip colors. It’s also helpful to bring pictures of make-up applications that you like. If you have booked a make-up lesson at Beauty Muse, we recommend bringing pictures of a look you’d like to learn to apply. You should also bring your makeup and brushes with you, so we can teach to you how to use what you already own.
