Added Nov 09, 2009Just had a Lulur Treatment few days ago and it was very nice. I remember trying a salt scrub followed by chocolate body wrap once and it was also very memorable. I'm wondering what is your favorite spa body treatment and if you ever tried such exotic stuff as seamud bodywrap or parafango treatment?

I'm new enough to spas that I haven't tried anything exotic, but hands down (excuse the pun), a massage is it for me. In fact, my husband and I are going for a massage this afternoon!

Hot stone massages are my "classic" favorite. I also love Signature Treatments that are created by the spas that tend to have multiple components, indigenous ingredients and longer treatment times of 80 minutes or longer.
At Skana Spa at The Turning Stone Casino Resort, they have a signature treatment known as the Sage and White Pine Hot Towel massage, a deep vigorous massage with steaming hot towels infused with Sage and White Pine oil. It is warm and heavenly.
At Topnotch Resort & Spa, the Mount Mansfield Saucha is a heavenly 80 minute Signature Treatment that includes an exfoliation, a wrap and a full body massage.
These are some of my favorite spa body treatments of all times.

I'm pretty basic when it comes to treatments - I like deep tissue massages and hot stone massages, but generally skip the aromatherapy treatments that are offered. With facials, it's different, but for the body, I guess I'm somewhat of a purist (or minimalist). I'd rather spend the extra money on a lengthy massage than one with bells and whistles.

I've only had massages but hands down would take that over any scrub, wrap, aromatherapy any day! Now, maybe all of that in one day would be nice! But, I will have to keep dreaming on that one! For me, deep tissue massage, with relaxing music, candles, low lights and cotton sheets nice and warm.....aaaah......the next massage can't come soon enough! :)

Do I have to pick just ONE?
I love everything there is when it comes to body work and spa treatments. When in massage therapy school, we would work on each other to learn different modalities (everything from acupressure to cranial sacral) and I was completely spoiled from the get-go. While working at a resort, I was also trained in spa treatments. Wraps are uber relaxing (I would sometimes fall asleep) and detoxifying, the facials became the most important step to my monthly beauty regimen and the scrubs are totally invigorating.
My personal opinion is no matter what you choose, your body will thank you :)
