Added Dec 11, 2009I've decided not to post my daily fitness routine/progress today. I realized that people could care less to know how fit I am and could possibly feel intimidated by it. So I figured that I'd try conforming to the idea of sharing; instead of seeming as if I "know it all" (which I don't by the way). Thus I've concluded that being fit in your body actually can contribute to being fit in your mind; and truthfully it is. Not only in part, but on a whole. Here, I'll say this and I'm done. While I know this is not a blogspot, I'll be brief. Sound principle says that the results that we seek are not just for looking and feeling better, but for better performance - maybe a sense of accomplishment even. If so, why do we push to succeed on the job and in school, to be a better wife, mother, etc. and then come to this screeching ABRUBPT HALT when it comes to our health? Can I ask you that question? If you answered honestly, please answer this while you're at it. Can't we at least try to live triumphantly and allow ourselves to take a closer look at how we treat ourselves from the inside out and actually love ourselves enough to DO something about it? Is that what we're doing when we find ourselves washing, cooking, cleaning, shopping, cursing and nursing the day away until there's no day left? Yes, I believe we can. So I'm getting started right now! What's YOUR solution?

I too want to get started. I was motivated by this as it has a lot of good points and reminders. Good balanced nutrition and exercise are literally a panacea for many ills, from behavioural like ADHD and Autism, to physical - arthritis, lack of energy, migraines to chemical, anxiety, depression, etc.
I am one who DOES get caught up in the day to day of being a mom, telling myself I'm too tired but deep down, I know that a regular regime of exercise will give me more energy to conquer daily tasks with less obstacles like migraines to stand in my way.
Thank you for this!
